Michael Smith and his brother went for a fishing session between Point Cook and Altona. They initially started by drifting in shallow waters on the last hour of the rising tide with red and orange squid jigs which produced 4 nice size Squid quickly. The guys moved on more towards Point Cook drifting in 4 meter deep water and caught a plenty of flathead using Berkley Gulp Turtle back worms in camo colours on a 1/6 size 2 TT jig heads. The bite was quite frantic. The guys finished up casting 2.5 inch motor oil grubs in the channels catching several nice size Pinkies. For Pinkies the guys were using 1/16 size 4 nitro jig heads. Well done Mick that a great report.
