I kicked started Winter in Spring Creek Torquay the small river system from Torquay beach that runs parallel to the Sands golf course. I fished a combination of raw Chicken, Maggots and a number of lures. The first bite took about 10 seconds landeding a 29cm Bream. For the next 3 hours the bites were constant but only a few legal size Bream landed with most of the Bream ranging from 15cm to 25 cm. There was a lot of green weed and your baits needed to be constantly checked as they seemed to draw the weed like a magnet. I finished with over 40 Bream caught the most productive bait of the day being raw chicken strips.
